City of St. Cloud, FL Facebook & Twitter Usage Policy
Becoming a friend on Facebook or a follower on Twitter, City of St. Cloud allows you to receive notifications about City events, activities, and important issues.

City of St. Cloud Facebook and Twitter pages are for informational use only. Should you require a response from the City or wish to request City services, please use the City's Request Tracker reporting solution.
Under Florida law, the City of St. Cloud Facebook and Twitter pages were established for municipal purposes of communicating City business and apprising City residents of upcoming events.
Accordingly, only friend requests from individual persons will be accepted. The City will not accept a friend request from a business, organization, or other person or entity representing themselves or itself as a political message or advertisement. To the extent that current friends post any political message or advertising, or any profile is changed to reflect any political message or advertising, the City neither endorses nor advocates such message or advertising.
All content on the City's Facebook and Twitter pages are subject to the public records law, Chapter 119, Florida Statutes. By becoming a friend of City of St. Cloud, your information will be a matter of public record. The City is required to retain this information in accordance with the State of Florida retention schedule. This may include information on your own Facebook page. All comments will be maintained for a minimum of 30 days after a forum has ended.
Despite Facebook's safety and privacy controls, Facebook cannot guarantee that its site is entirely free of illegal, offensive, pornographic or otherwise inappropriate material, or that its members will not encounter inappropriate or illegal conduct from other members. Consequently, you may encounter such content and conduct. You can help Facebook by notifying them of any nudity or pornography, or harassment or unwelcome contact by clicking on the "Report" link located on pages throughout the site. Where confidential complaints are made through this site reporting tool, Facebook will use best efforts to remove the offending content or conduct and to warn or, as appropriate, to bar from the site those transmitting such content or engaging in such conduct within 24 hours of receiving your complaint. Where complaints about nudity or pornography, or harassment or unwelcome contact are made by independent email to email@example.com, Facebook will acknowledge receipt of your complaint and begin addressing your complaint within 24 hours of receipt. Facebook will report back to you within 72 hours of receiving your email complaint to inform you of the steps Facebook has taken to address the complaint.
Always follow these important safety tips when using Facebook:
- Never share your password with anyone
- Adjust your privacy settings to match your level of comfort, and review them often
- Be cautious about posting and sharing personal information, especially information that could be used to identify you or locate you offline, such as your address or telephone number
- Block and report anyone that sends you unwanted or inappropriate communications
