New Year’s Eve Block Party


What are the times for the event?
Rockin’ The Cloud  – New Year’s Eve block party will take place on December 31, 2023. The first band is scheduled to take the stage at 7 p.m., with live music throughout the event until the closing performance, which will be shortly after the stroke of midnight.  The event will officially end at 1 a.m.

Where is the event taking place?
The main stage for this event will be at the intersection of 10th Street and New York Ave. the second stage will be located at  12th Street and Pennsylvania Ave. 

Will you be closing streets?
Yes!  Street closures will begin at 9 a.m. on December 31, 2023 on Pennsylvania Ave. from 12th Street to 10th Street and New York Ave. from 12th Street to 10th Street,  for stage set up.  Portions of Pennsylvania  and New York will re-open after the event and entirely open by 12 noon on January 1, 2024. Where can I park?
The City Hall parking areas and Centennial Park will be open for public parking.  An event map will be available on the City's Facebook page.

Who is performing?
This year’s event will offer two stages of live entertainment with performances from Claudia Sar, DJ Bri, Live Effect, nd the event headliner, Uncle Kracker.    

 Do I need tickets?
No there is no entry fee or ticket required for this FREE admission event.  

What is this “Cloud Drop” thing all about?
We will have the 7th annual “Cloud Drop” countdown to celebrate the New Year.  Just like the lighted ball in Times Square, St. Cloud will be ringing in 2024 with our very own illuminated cloud dropping to ring in the New Year.

Will there be food?
Most of the businesses on Pennsylvania Ave and New York Avenue will be open and ready to serve you at this event; we also will have mobile vendors available.  

Will there be alcohol?
Yes. However, alcohol consumption and open containers will be permitted only during the event times and within the barricaded event area.  Only alcoholic beverages purchased within the event area will be allowed.

Is this a family-friendly event?
This event is meant for fans of almost all ages. Please keep in mind before bringing small children:  This event will have  loud music on two stages, large crowds – up to 6000 people, and alcoholic beverages being sold.

Can I fly my drone?
Absolutely not!  Flying a drone at night and over large crowds is dangerous and strictly prohibited. St. Cloud Police Department will pursue any drone operators.

Can I bring chairs?
Yes, we recommend use of folding camp-style chairs, but please do not bring it in the bag.

Can I bring my own beverages?
You may bring non-alcoholic beverages unopened and in their original containers.  Coolers and outside alcoholic beverages will not be permitted inside the barricaded event area.  

What if it rains?
Rain or shine, the show must go on.  The City’s Public Safety Officer will decide on cancellation in the event of severe weather.
