Fireworks

FIREWORKS LAWS

Fireworks are legal to use on designated holidays. The designated holidays are Independence Day, July 4; New Year’s Eve, December 31; and New Year’s Day, January 1. Permits are still required for large fireworks displays and tents.

Firework Safety

  • Do not attempt to light sparklers that have been damaged.
  • Do not throw sparkler wires in the grass.
  • Do not throw sparklers at people or vehicles.
  • Keep a pail of water handy in which to place used sparkler wires.
  • Use only in an area away from combustibles, brush, or buildings.
  • Use only outdoors.
  • Use only under adult supervision.
